Hot Springs, AR. This events provides education, networking and building community with state physicians.

4:00pm – 6:00pm | Precipitous Delivery and Complications in the Emergency Setting  

Speaker: Kristina Jones, MD, Assistant Professor, UAMS
This training is focused on preparing clinicians to manage precipitous birth and common delivery complications in the emergency setting. It will also familiarize participants with the maternal health landscape in Arkansas. Learners will participate in a combination of didactic learning and hands-on training in which they will practice managing precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia, and breech delivery.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly appearing across healthcare, yet for many clinicians, the technology remains unfamiliar and is often discussed more in theory than in everyday clinical practice. This talk will provide a practical overview of how AI is beginning to influence modern healthcare delivery. Using real world examples, the session will explore how these systems work and where they are starting to appear in emergency departments. The goal of the session is to give clinicians a clearer view of the current AI landscape in medicine and highlight areas where these technologies may begin to influence patient care, workflow, and health system operations.
